What We Do

CARDIO

Any exercise that raises your heart rate.  There are many options for cardio work outs but intensity is the key.  It only counts if you elevate your HR into an aerobic zone (55-85% of your maximum heart rate). Mike with include a cardio aspect to suit your workout that is suited to you.

WEIGHTS

Weight training is a type of strength training exercise to build muscle strength using the force of gravity. Options include free weights, a machine circuit or just using body vs gravity excercises.  Mike believes that all workouts must include weight training which can advance over time with ability.

CALISTHENICS

Exercises involving gross motor movements - running, standing, grasping, pushing, etc. - often performed rhythmically and generally without equipment. They are “body-weight training”. Vigorous calisthenics burn more calories than many cardio workouts due to more muscle engagement”.  Mike makes good use of this technique.


Personal training is exactly that….it’s personal! It’s our belief that everyone is different in their needs, abilities, stage of life and frame of mind…so “One Size Does NOT Fit All”!  


Muscle & Heart’s Personal Trainer, Mike Ljevaja, has many levels of certified personal trainer qualifications. He offers you years of hands-on experience, professionalism and true dedication to the outcome each client wants to achieve. Since one size does not fit all, Mike will design a fitness regime for you that is based on your unique fitness status and personal preferences. Whether you are looking to lose weight, build muscle or improve your overall quality of life, Mike will help you set and achieve all your fitness goals.  He’ll also be instrumental in sustaining and, if possible, surpassing your fitness goals.


With Mike’s personal interest in every client and with regular assessments of your capabilities and progress, the customized workout will evolve.  Fitness is not a static state.  Every time you come, you’ll get the attention necessary to improve the areas on which you should focus.  Over time, you’ll discover a stronger, faster and more awesome you.
